Guillaume Jehl began his trumpet studies very early at l’Ecole Nationale de Musique de Mulhouse in the class of Gilbert Petit, continuing at the famous Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, under the tutelage of Clément Garrec, where he was unanimously awarded the First Prize in trumpet performance in 1999. He was one of the top prizewinners of the International Trumpet Competition “Prestige de Cuivres” in Guebwiller, France, in 1995 (“espoir” category).

Guillaume Jehl became second trumpet of the Orchestre de Bordeaux-Aquitaine, before finishing his studies in Paris. The following year he held the same position in the Orchestre National de France (Paris).

Mr. Jehl is currently principal trumpet of the Sinfonieorchester Basel.
